AEROCARE UNDER NEW CAG OWNERSHIP, BOLSTERS ITS PAINT OFFERING

Following its acquisition this summer by Complete Aircraft GroupAerocare Aviation Services Limited has successfully completed a modification of its state-of-the-art paint facility at its Chester, UK headquarters. The investment forms a key part of its future growth strategy, which involved widening the door aperture to 22 metres, enabling it to address the surge in demand it is receiving to accommodate the repainting of larger aircraft, including the Embraer Legacy 600 and Bombardier Challenger 850.

“Under our new ownership we are making substantial investment in the real estate, equipment and manpower for the aircraft operators and owners we serve” said Peter Mankelow, Managing Director of Aerocare Aviation Services Limited. “This modification, together with increasing in-house capabilities and approvals, provides assurance of continued quality services for existing customers and a great value alternative option for new customers looking to either refresh the appearance of their aircraft or opt for an all-new look and VVIP finish.

Unlike many other aircraft painting providers in our region, Aerocare Aviation Services Limited has an established Part 145 facility adjacent to its Preparation and Paint facility thus providing a one-stop-shop solution for maintenance, repair, interior refurbishment, and modifications, all accomplished at highly competitive rates”.

Embraer Phenom 300 work for a Burrows Aerospace customer

A recent client benefitting from Aerocare’s enhanced Technical and Paint shop services is Burrows Aerospace, the independent UK specialist aircraft sales and acquisitions organisation, headed by Simon Burrows.  Having recently completed the purchase of an Embraer Phenom 300 on behalf of Catreus Aviation, which has three Phenom 300’s on its AOC, Burrows Aerospace chose to use Aerocare’s technical services expertise to support an EASA to FAA type conversion, entry into service tasks and paint finishing.

Aerocare & CAG

COMPLETE AIRCRAFT GROUP FINALISES ACQUISITION OF AEROCARE AS LTD.

Investment planned to bolster business aviation growth

Complete Aircraft Group (CAG), part of JMC Group (JMC), the established aviation services business, is pleased to finalise the acquisition of MRO Part 145 provider, interiors and paint specialist Aerocare Aviation Services. This formally ratifies its September 2021 terms of agreement and cements CAG’s move into business aircraft support.

The Aerocare Aviation Services Limited name remains unchanged.

“We are delighted to be integrating Aerocare into Complete Aircraft Group (CAG).  It is a company that has developed a great reputation in business aircraft support with a prestigious customer base.  We look forward to maximising group synergy, not just within CAG through our work sourcing and managing high quality aircraft, aircraft tooling, parts and components for customers worldwide, but with our aircraft acquisition, tear down and oversight expertise, and especially, with our Mobile Repair Team (MRT) specialists,” said CAG Head of Operations Alan Barnes.  Barnes and the Aerocare leadership team will work closely together to explore new business development opportunities and collaborative partnerships.

Bolstering Aerocare’s original aircraft manufacturer (OEM) endorsed paint facility at its Hawarden Airport, Chester HQ, is high on CAG’s agenda.

“This is an area of immediate investment, involving the modification and widening of the hangar doors to accommodate bigger aircraft. We see increasing demand to tap into regional (turboprop) types for paint work – such as the de Havilland Q400 and ATR72, as well as supporting larger business jets like the Bombardier Challenger and Global family,” commented Alan Barnes.

Exploring new aircraft markets for maintenance too is another firm interest.  “Collaboration is a very important ethos in the Group,” he stressed.   “We believe there is need – and the market big enough, for widened aftermarket support maximising the capabilities of our combined 100-strong workforce.  This is good for the UK too as we position ourselves as a reliable, efficient closing centre for pre-owned business aircraft inspections, post Brexit.”

Welcoming Aerocare into the Complete Aircraft Group and JMC Group CEO Warren Crook added: “Aerocare is a highly valued addition to our wide-ranging and expanding diverse aviation group.  We very much look forward to integrating Aerocare’s talented team over the next few months and continuing our desire to build partnerships and offer ever creative solutions. Corporate Aviation is a dynamic sector that is constantly evolving and attracting new investment. This sector perfectly aligns to our business model, sits well in our business plan, and we are pleased to be entering into this market through Aerocare AS ltd”.

Following completion of the acquisition, CAG is please to announce the appointment of Peter Mankelow as the new Managing Director of Aerocare AS Ltd. Peter joins the company with a wealth of experience in leading MRO services in both the civil and military aviation sectors. Commenting on his appointment, Peter added: “I feel privileged to be able to help build on Aerocare’s existing strong legacy of providing maintenance, upgrade, and refurbishment services to their Business Jet customers. I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues and leading the Aerocare business into the next stage of growth and development”.

Following a period of handover, Jason Davies will be joining the CAG business development team where he will play an important role if further developing CAGs portfolio of services whilst remaining connected to Aerocare’s highly valued customer base.

Caroline Gardner, Managing Director, Aviation Park Group (APG) commented:  “We are delighted to see our valued tenant Aerocare Aviation Services move into an exciting new chapter within the Complete Aircraft Group. At a time when aftermarket and technical support is vital as our industry rebuilds after the challenges of the global pandemic, being able to draw on synergies, complementary skills, as well as pledged new investment,  Aerocare is well placed to grow and flourish.”

“Aerocare and Aviation Park, at Hawarden Chester Airport, have enjoyed a strong partnership these past five years.  The business benefits from being based at a vibrant, flexible and forward-thinking aviation park, offering great logistics and skilled workforce links to the North West of England and North Wales.  We too benefit from the kudos and stability of having Aerocare at our facility.   This new development enables us to maximise our own partnership with them.”

b737f teardown

COMPLETE AIRCRAFT GROUP & JMC GROUP START B737-400F TEARDOWN

Complete Aircraft Group (CAG) and JMC Group’s Fixed Price Team are close to completing a teardown on a Boeing 737-400F.  Dismantlement is taking place at Exeter Airport and will be complete by the end of the month, resulting in the availability of 250 parts, including full cargo configuration and associated equipment.  This marks the second joint venture project between CAG’s and JMC Group’s specialist teams.

Teardowns involve a staged process which guarantees the safe removal of aircraft parts in accordance with standard procedures. Once the components are harvested, the remaining aircraft hull is dismantled and shipped offsite for recycling.

Complete Aircraft Group, specialists in sourcing and delivering quality recycled aircraft parts and components to the aviation industry, is actively engaged sourcing retired commercial aircraft (airliner and business jets) for teardowns.  The business was bolstered last summer with the appointment of senior industry professional Alan Barnes as Head of Operations.

JMC has managed the teardowns of aircraft from eight to 35 years.  Its Teardown Team continually review the market and maintain regular dialogue with lessors and airlines.

Alan Barnes, Head of Operations at Complete Aircraft Group commented.  “We are seeing a number of elderly B737s retiring from service, creating excellent opportunities for part inventory.  Both CAG and JMC teams work diligently and meticulously together to safely and competently manage an aircraft’s teardown and parts harvest from start to finish in a true turnkey solution.”
